A first Sundarban experience without an overnight stay.
The Day Tour is designed for guests who have one day available, prefer to return to Kolkata the same evening or want to experience the waterways before considering a longer journey.
It cannot reproduce everything that an overnight Sundarban stay offers. What it can provide is a well-planned day combining the road journey, mangrove waterways, onboard food and enough time on the river to understand the character of the landscape.

DATE-SPECIFIC ACCESS
How the forest programme works
Certain Sundarban forest routes and watchtower areas require Forest Department permission. The number of boats that can receive such permission for a particular date is limited.
For a Max Adventures Shared Day Tour, the forest-permit programme is arranged when at least 9 guest slots are confirmed.
Reaching 9 confirmed guests does not guarantee forest permission. Permission remains subject to availability for the selected date and applicable Forest Department instructions.
When forest permission is obtained, the applicable forest-permit arrangements and Forest Guide are included as part of that programme.
If the minimum shared-tour participation is not reached, the available forest-permit slots for the date are already filled, permission is otherwise unavailable, or authority, tide, weather, safety or operating conditions require a different programme, the Day Tour may operate through an alternative Sundarban river and mangrove route that does not require forest permission.
A Forest Guide is not automatically included on an alternative non-permit route.
The applicable programme is communicated before the journey wherever confirmed, and current authority instructions always take priority.

Meals prepared and served onboard
Welcome tea and biscuits, a hot Bengali-style breakfast, a snack, Bengali lunch and afternoon tea/snacks are part of the typical shared Day Tour.
The menu may change according to season, fresh availability and operational conditions. Vegetarian meals can be arranged when informed before confirmation. Guests must disclose serious allergies or dietary restrictions in advance; the team will confirm what can reasonably be accommodated.
Know the comfort style before you book.
Max Adventures is not air-conditioned. It is a naturally ventilated open-air boat designed to keep guests close to the river environment.
Daytime heat, humidity, wind or rain can affect comfort. Winter is generally easier for most guests; warmer and monsoon months require more preparation and flexibility.
Check the Best Time to TravelWho should discuss suitability in advance?
Families and senior guests can enjoy the Day Tour, but it is a long day involving an early start, road travel, jetty boarding and time in an open-air environment.
Every child requires a paid booking and must be included in the guest count. The applicable date-wise price is confirmed before booking. Guests with mobility limitations, serious medical conditions, heat sensitivity or difficulty boarding boats should discuss their needs before confirmation.
Safety and responsible expectations
Lifebuoys are carried onboard.
A trained crew manages the vessel.
A Forest Guide accompanies only a confirmed forest-permit programme.
Guests must follow crew and guide instructions. Wildlife is entirely natural; no tiger or other specific animal sighting is guaranteed.
Planning a Tuesday?
Max Adventures operates on Tuesdays. The permitted forest and sightseeing programme may differ from other days and is confirmed before booking according to current Forest Department instructions, tide, weather and operating conditions.
Understand the Tuesday programmeWhat to carry
Bring requested identification, prescribed medicines, secure footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sun/rain protection, a charged phone and a small manageable bag.

Day Tour questions
What is included in the shared Day Tour?
The confirmed shared Day Tour includes scheduled pickup and return from the selected Kolkata points, road transfer to and from the agreed boarding point, the Max Adventures boat journey, and meals and refreshments through the day. Where the forest-permit programme is confirmed, the applicable forest-permit arrangements and Forest Guide are included with that programme. Your booking confirmation will state the final inclusions for the chosen date.
Will every Shared Day Tour enter a forest/watchtower area?
No. Forest permission is available only for a limited number of boats on a particular date. For Max Adventures Shared Day Tours, the forest-permit programme is arranged when at least 9 guest slots are confirmed. Reaching the minimum does not itself guarantee permission. If the minimum participation is not reached or forest-permit availability is exhausted or unavailable, the Day Tour may operate through an alternative Sundarban river and mangrove route that does not require forest permission.
Is a Forest Guide included?
A Forest Guide accompanies the tour when the forest-permit programme is confirmed. If the Day Tour operates through an alternative river/mangrove route that does not require forest permission, a Forest Guide is not automatically included.
Does the Day Tour still operate if forest permission is unavailable?
Yes, subject to normal operating conditions. Max Adventures may follow an alternative Sundarban river and mangrove route that does not require forest permission.
Is a particular watchtower guaranteed?
No. Forest/watchtower access depends on Forest Department permission, availability, tide, weather, timing, safety and current operating conditions. No named watchtower or forest route is guaranteed unless specifically confirmed.
Can I visit on Tuesday?
Max Adventures operates on Tuesdays. The permitted forest and sightseeing programme may differ from other days and is confirmed before booking according to current Forest Department instructions, tide, weather and operating conditions.
Are children free?
Every child requires a paid booking and must be included in the guest count. The applicable date-wise price is confirmed before booking.
Is a Royal Bengal Tiger sighting guaranteed?
No. Wildlife is entirely natural. A tiger or any other specific animal cannot be guaranteed. The mangrove landscape, waterways, birds and naturally occurring sightings form the experience.
How do I enquire or book?
Use Plan Your Day to share the preferred date, guest count and tour format, then choose the required shared-tour pickup point or an optional private-tour transfer preference before continuing on WhatsApp. An enquiry does not confirm a seat. Current availability, price, inclusions, payment terms and cancellation terms are confirmed before booking.
